Best-selling British children’s author Anna Wilson was invited to Malta by Agenda Bookshop to promote her new book “I’m a Chicken… Get me out of Here!”
Anna Wilson, who penned tween favourites like “Pup Idol” and “Monkey Business”, spent most of her three-day stay visiting Primary schools, sharing her love of books with hundreds of schoolchildren.
One of the schools visited included Marsacala Primary School where Anna Wilson promoted to students the joys of reading and writing. The event was also attended by Education Minister the Hon. Evarist Bartolo, who said books should be something a child enjoys and should be easily accessible, not limited only to schools.
“I think if you find reading boring, you are reading the wrong books! There are books out there for everyone,” Anna Wilson told the children during a question and answer session.
Anna Wilson lives in Bradford-on-Avon with her husband, two children, two cats, a dog and some chickens which inspired her latest book.
She is also the author of the Nina Fairy Ballerina young fiction series, which has sold over 150k copies.
