Children’s author Katherine Roberts visits Malta

The renowned British author visited Malta on the occasion of World Book Day, which was celebrated on the 23rd April. Ms. Roberts is best known for her Seven Fabulous Wonders series published by HarperCollins. This series combines magic, myths and history taking young readers on a journey of fantastic discoveries.

Ms. Roberts was born in Torquay, UK, in 1962. She graduated with a First in Mathematics from Bath University, since then she has worked with computers, racehorses, and in a pet shop. Katherine lives in Paignton, near the school she attended as a child. Her debut novel ‘Song Quest’ was published in 1999 and won the Branford Boase Award for an outstanding first novel for children.

During her stay, Katherine visited schools and attended book-signing sessions. On World Book Day, Ms. Roberts hosted a special activity for school children at the Embassy Cinemas in Valletta. On the same day, another event was also held for Agenda Kids Club members at the Agenda Bookshop, Valletta Waterfront.
