To commemorate the feast of St Joseph the worker, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi visited the Miller offices in Luqa. Greeted by the company’s CEO, Malcolm G. Miller, Dr. Gonzi spent the visit meeting members of staff, as well as seeing first hand the different operations carried out at Miller House. This included the most recent addition to the Group’s activity – digital newspaper printing. This new service, offering tourists and locals alike a choice of circa 40 international titles early every morning is the first of its kind in the world. The visit was concluded by a joint address from Dr. Gonzi and Mr. Miller to the staff and media.

In his address the Prime Minister praised the Company and its workers for the recent investments in latest technology and stressed how this fitted in with Malta’s aims of maximizing our strengths in certain sectors.

Mr. Miller outlined further investment plans including the soon to be launched on-line bookshop trading as offering some 1.5 million books at prices and customer service delivery levels matching established International sites.
