Miller Retail (Greece) has started operations in the new terminal at the fully refurbished Thessaloniki International Airport. The new shop, trading under the WHSmith brand, is located in the Departures lounge and started operating on 1st June 2021. The airport in Thessaloniki is the second largest airport in Greece and handled over 7 million passengers in 2019, and is operated by Fraport Greece, who have recently taken over another 13 regional airports around Greece on the mainland and its islands.

This is the second airport in Greece for Miller – with another 9 WHSmith shops at Athens International Airport – and the first at a Fraport Greece site. Mark Miller, Chief Commercial Officer, said “Despite Covid, with the ongoing conditions and implications on travel, we continue to scrutinize all opportunities for growth, with strong conviction in the revival of the economy, travel and tourism in Greece. We have a strong and experienced travel retail team led by our Operations Manager Evangelos Papadimas, and look forward to further expansion of our Greece operations”.
